Benne (musician)

Benne ( spelling BENNE , actually Benedikt Ruchay ; born December 30, 1989 in Heilbronn ) is a German musician .

Life

Benedikt Ruchay was born on December 30, 1989 in Heilbronn and grew up in Oedheim . He started playing the guitar at the age of six. The first own songs followed at the age of 15. He went to the Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium Bad Friedrichshall , where he also graduated from high school. After graduating from high school, he spent around nine months in South America, six of which he worked in an orphanage in Buenos Aires . After his return he began studying at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg . It was there that the Berlin producer Sebastian Kirchner became aware of him and the two began working together on Benne's first album Never More As Alwaysto work. In April 2014, Benne was invited to accompany Adel Tawil on his tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In January 2015, the song Never More was the title track for the ARD feature film of the same name with Franziska Walser and Edgar Selge . In February 2015, the first single Nirgendwohin was released . The album Never More As Always followed on March 26, 2015 at Ferryhouse . With this album he went on his own tour twice and played concerts a. a. with Gunslinger and Ryan Adams . At the same time, he began recording his second album, which will be released in summer 2016. The first single from this - Freedom - was released on February 26, 2016. His second album Alles auf dem Weg was released on August 5, 2016. In June 2018, he released the first single from his third album, " The whole thing ", "Light in us" which was released in early August.
