The Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium ( FvAG for short ) is a high school in Bad Friedrichshall . The school sponsor is the city of Bad Friedrichshall, the school is named after the geologist Friedrich von Alberti .

School history

On November 25, 1994 the foundation stone for the construction of the Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium was laid. The school opened in the 1996/97 school year. The initially only 220 students attended grades 5 to 8, so that the grammar school only grew to the current number of students in the course of the following years. The first Abitur at the Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium was taken in the 2001/02 school year.

Initially built as a two-course school, the Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium has since been expanded into a three-course grammar school due to the increasing number of students.

The establishment of the Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium represented the last significant step for the city of Bad Friedrichshall on the way to becoming a school town .

building

The school building was designed by architects Roland Ostertag and Johannes Vornholt from Stuttgart.

The building is very light-flooded through the large glass fronts. In the two-story building, continuous skylights in the corridors on the upper floor provide plenty of light. Automatic white and blue striped awnings serve as sun protection from excessive light.

The Kocherwaldhalle, which is located close to the school building, is available to the Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium for physical education. Swimming lessons take place in the brine swimming pool within walking distance.

Profiles

The Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium offers a linguistic profile with Spanish as a third foreign language, a scientific and a music profile.
