Benoît Brière

Benoît Brière (born June 20, 1965 in Longueuil , Québec ) is a Canadian actor .

Life and accomplishments

Brière graduated from the National Theater School of Canada in Montreal in 1991 . On the theater stage he embodied roles in the comedy Don Juan by Molière , the play The Barber of Seville by Beaumarchais and the comedy Der Bürger als Edelmann von Molière. Brière also directs opera workshops at the University of Montreal and at the Conservatory ( Conservatoire ).

He played a supporting role in the romantic drama Séraphin: un homme et son péché (2002) by director Charles Binamé with Karine Vanasse in the lead role. In the comedy The Great Seduction (2003) by director Jean-François Pouliot , Brière can be seen as a bank teller. He played another supporting role in the comedy C'est pas moi ... c'est l'autre! (2004) by Alain Zaloum with Roy Dupuis .

In 1997 Brière won the Gémeaux Award for best actor for the Cher Olivier miniseries . In 2004 he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for The Great Seduction at the Genie Award .
