Benthamiella patagonica is a plant type from the genus Benthamiella in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).
description
Benthamiella patagonica is a Chamaephyte . The hairy leaves are 5 to 12 mm long and 0.75 to 1.5 mm wide, their tip is hairy and cut off, the edge is hairy. The calyx is 4 to 7 mm long, tubular to almost bell-shaped. It is predominantly hairy on the outside and covered with cut calyx teeth. The five stamens are twofold and do not protrude beyond the crown. The stamens start at different heights in the upper half of the corolla tube. The ovary has a visible nectarium . The stylus does not protrude beyond the crown.
distribution
The species grows in open steppes. It can be found in Chubut , Santa Cruz , and in the southeast of the Última Esperanza Province .
Systematics and botanical history
The species was first described by Carlos Luis Spegazzini in 1883 .
