Berengar Laurer (2013)

Berengar Laurer (born November 26, 1938 in Nuremberg ; † October 21, 2018 in Munich ) was a German artist .

Life

From 1959 to 1963 Berengar Laurer studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . From 1970 to 2018 he lived and worked as a painter, draftsman and art theorist in Munich.

The focus of his work was the topic: particles and method. By “small particles” he understood the amount of small impressions that constantly hit people; and in his work he was concerned with dealing with this deluge of disordered information. As a method of dealing with the "particles" he used drawings, paintings and artist books .
