Canton of Ratingen
The canton of Ratingen was a canton in the Grand Duchy of Berg and belonged to the arrondissement or district of Düsseldorf in the department of the Rhine . The main town was Ratingen . Its official population was 13,713. According to the decree of March 15, 1812, he was entitled to a deputy in the college; its cantonal assembly comprised 50 notables, who were chosen from the 160 most taxable citizens.
