The Beresaika ( Russian Береза́йка ) is a left tributary of the Msta in the Russian oblasts of Novgorod and Tver .
The Beresaika has its origin in the Lake Beresai on the Valdai Heights in the south of the Novgorod Oblast. It flows in a predominantly east-northeast direction through the Tver Oblast. The river passes the eponymous place Beresaika . As it flows through Lake Piros , it absorbs the water of the Waldaika . Finally the Beresaika flows into the upper reaches of the Msta.
The Beresaika has a length of 150 km. It drains an area of 3230 km². It is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge is 27 m³ / s.
