Berestovenka ( Ukrainian and Russian Берестовенька ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast Kharkiv with about 1000 inhabitants (2001).
Berestowenka is located at an altitude of 104 m on the bank of the 32-km long flow Berestowenka , 4 km northeast of the community center Iwaniwske, 17 km northeast of the Rajonzentrum Krasnohrad and 80 km southwest of the Oblastzentrum Charkiw .
The village, founded in 1735, had a total of 2,158 inhabitants in 1864, of which 1,065 were men and 1,093 women. The settlement in the Poltava governorate at that time had an Orthodox church, a Volost and village administration and a post office.
The locality belongs administratively to the district council of the village Ivaniwske ( Іванівське ) in the north of the Krasnohrad district . Berestowenka has a village church, consecrated in 1912, and a train station on the Merefa –Krasnohrad railway line . The M 18 trunk road runs 7 km west of Berestowenka.
