Berit Kristensen (born August 2, 1983 in Sakskøbing ) is a former Danish handball player .
Career
Kristensen started playing handball in Sakskøbing in 1989 and joined Nykøbing Falster HK in 1997 . Two years later, the back player moved to Viborg HK , where she made her debut in the Danish top division in September 2002. With the VHK she won the Danish Championship and the EHF Cup in 2004 . From 2004 she ran for Randers HK . With Randers she won the EHF Cup in 2010 and the Danish Championship in 2012. After struggling with multiple injuries, Kristensen decided to end her career in the summer of 2013.
Kristensen played 68 international matches for the Danish national team , in which they scored 88 goals. With Denmark she first took part in the 2010 European Championship. At the 2012 Olympic Games Kristensen was a member of the Danish squad, which finished ninth.
