Bernardo Navagero
Bernardo Navagero (* 1507 in Venice , † April 13, 1565 in Verona ) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church .
Initially belonging to the state apparatus of the Republic of Venice , he entered the service of the Catholic Church. Pope Pius IV created him cardinal in the consistory on February 26, 1561 and soon appointed him cardinal priest with the titular church of San Nicola fra le Immagini . In 1562 he moved briefly to the titular church of San Pancrazio and was appointed Bishop of Verona in the same year .
Pius IV. Sent Cardinal Navagero after the death of Girolamo Seripando in March 1563 as one of his legacies to the Council of Trent . In 1565 he received the titular church of Santa Susanna .
