Bernardus Accama

Bernardus Accama (* 1697 in Burum , † 1756 possibly in Leeuwarden ) was a Dutch painter.

life and work

His works mainly include history and portrait painting , including a portrait of Princess Anne , portraits of professors, as well as 24 portraits of officers from the Nassau house , which were previously exhibited in the town hall of Leeuwarden and which are now part of the Fries Museum in Leeuwarden. Some of his works were engraved by Jacobus Houbraken and Pieter Tanjé .

The painter Matthijs Accama (1702–1783) was his younger brother and apprentice, his sons, Bernardus Accama (1745–1768) and Symon Accama (1734–1752), his nephews.
