Bernd Hering (politician)
Bernd Hering (* 2. August 1946 in Jägersruh ; † 21st May 2015 in Hof ) was a German politician of the SPD . From May 1, 1996 to April 30, 2014, he was District Administrator of the district of Hof .
Career
Bernd Hering had been a member of the SPD since 1971. In 1978 he became a city councilor in Hof, and in 1982 he took up the post of mayor there. In 1984 he became chairman of the SPD district, also in Hof. From 1986 to July 11, 1996, Hering was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . He resigned his mandate prematurely after he was elected district administrator for the district of Hof.
Hering suffered a heart attack in May 2015 and died at the age of 68. He was married and had two daughters.
