Bernd Kammermeier

Bernd P. Kammermeier (* 1957 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German author, model maker and expert on special effects . He is the owner and operator of the Panasensor film animation studio in Dietzenbach .

Life

Kammermeier grew up in an artistic parental home where he was raised as a Protestant. As a teenager he turned away from religion and wanted to become a scientist. He studied visual communication at the Offenbach am Main University of Design and then devoted himself to animation and model making . He founded and heads the special effects and model making film studio Panasensor in Dietzenbach.

Kammermeier has been working on the “galactic road movie” Astro Saga since the early eighties . In 1985 he put together the exhibition Astro Saga on the Launch Pad - Science Fiction Film Made in Germany in the German Film Museum . The planned film was never completed.

As a specialist in special effects , Kammermeier has worked for various cinema productions, commercials, industrial films and ZDF documentaries. For a promotional tour of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace , he made full-size models of an “X-Wing” spaceship fighter. He built a model of ancient Alexandria for the archaeologist Michael Pfrommer

In September 2001, Kammermeier directed the music theater The Dawn of Civilization , which was staged in the ancient stadium of Athens . The music was composed by Andreas Vollenweider , the Greek philosopher Socrates was played by Rod Steiger , the patron was UNESCO .

Journalistic activity

Kammermeier is a member of the Giordano Bruno Foundation . He is co-editor of the book Martin Luther: From the Jews and their Lies , published in 2016 by Alibri Verlag , a new edition of the anti-Semitic inflammatory pamphlet written by Martin Luther in 1543 in today's German with the original text and explanations of terms. Kammermeier writes irregularly for the humanistic press service .
