Bernd Liffers

Bernd Liffers (born February 26, 1958 in Krefeld - Uerdingen ) is a German church musician and organist .

Liffers studied Catholic church music in Düsseldorf from 1974 to 1980 ( A-exam ). He supplemented his training with courses with Günther Kaunzinger , Zsigmond Szathmáry and Peter Bares . From 1978 to 1982 he was the organist of the St. Andreas Church in Düsseldorf. From 1982 to 1986 he directed church music at the St. Margareta Basilica in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim . In the following years he worked as a cantor in the Calvin Church of the Protestant Matthäi congregation, where he gave several concerts as an organist and choir director. From 2001 to 2018 he worked as a church musician for the Protestant church community in Heiligenhaus , and since September 1, 2018 he has been employed by the Protestant church community in Uerdingen . Liffers published several sound documents on Motette-Ursina and on the radio ( SWR2 ).
