Bernd Mathias Kremer

Bernd Mathias Kremer (born January 30, 1945 in Radolfzell ) is a German administrative lawyer.

Bernd Mathias Kremer grew up in Freiburg im Breisgau , where he attended the Kepler grammar school until he graduated from high school in 1965 . From 1965 he studied law in Freiburg, Vienna and Tübingen. In 1970 he passed the first state examination in law, in 1974 the second. From 1974 to 1977 he worked for Martin Heckel at the University of Tübingen , where he received his doctorate in 1986 with a thesis on the history of canon law. From 1977 to 1980 he was the deputy judiciary at the Archbishopric of Paderborn . From 1981 until his retirement in 2008 he worked as an administrative lawyer in the Archbishop's Office in Freiburg , initially as head of the general administration department, then as a construction and art consultant. In 1986 he became Archbishop's Legal Director, later Archbishop's Senior Legal Director.

He publishes on legal history, monument law and the history of art in Baden and beyond.
