Bernd Nielsen (born September 13, 1943 , † June 30, 2003 in Neumünster - Einfeld ) was a German handball player .

Career

Bernd Nielsen moved from the district division SV Tungendorf to the handball Bundesliga club THW Kiel for the 1970/71 season . For the zebras , the 1.98 meter tall right back player ran until 1976 in the first and second division . Then he played at Bramstedter TS .

Later Nielsen fell ill with the kidneys . Three weeks after a heart attack , he died at the age of 59 on June 30, 2003 in his apartment in the Einfeld district of Neumünster.
