Bernd Oberdorfer

Bernd Oberdorfer (born September 11, 1961 in Leipheim ) is a German professor of systematic theology and ecumenism at the University of Augsburg .

Life

Oberdorfer studied Protestant theology at the University of Tübingen and at the University of Munich from 1982 to 1988 . From 1992 to 2000 Oberdorfer worked as a research assistant at the chair for Protestant theology with a focus on systematic theology and contemporary theological issues in the Philosophical Faculty I of the University of Augsburg.

In 2000 Oberdorfer was ordained pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria .

Since 2001 he has held the chair for Protestant theology with a focus on systematic theology and contemporary theological issues at the University of Augsburg . Since 2004 Oberdorfer has been a member of the Ecumenical Study Committee of the VELKD and a member of the German National Committee of the Lutheran World Federation .
