Bernd Webersinke

Bernd Webersinke (born October 28, 1951 in Goslar ; † August 4, 2015 in Dresden ) was a German metallurgist .

Life

After graduating from high school in Dortmund , Webersinke studied metallurgy at the Technical University of Clausthal with a diploma .

Webersinke began his professional activity in 1978 in the Hamburg steel works as an assistant to the later managing director Gerhard Renz . After Lakshmi Mittal took over Hamburger Stahlwerke in 1995 and incorporated it into the Ispat Group , Webersinke became a member of Ispat's due diligence team in 1997 to take over the Ruhrort and Hochfeld long product plants from Thyssen Stahl . From 1997 to 2007 he was technical director for Ispat Walzdraht Hochfeld GmbH , Ispat Stahlwerk Ruhrort GmbH and Ispat Germany GmbH , where he was responsible for a new wire rod mill . In 2008 he became Vice President for ArcelorMittal Long Carbon Europe in Luxembourg and a consultant for the entire company.

Webersinke continuously participated in the joint work of the Association of German Ironworkers (VDEh) , and for more than 10 years he was a member of the board of the VDEh.
