Bernhard Brägger

Bernhard Brägger (born April 18, 1942 in Zurich) is a Swiss author and rally driver . He particularly writes about historical motorsport .

Life

Brägger has been closely associated with historic racing cars and the history of motorsport since his youth. For years he was an active rally driver, sports commissioner of the Automobile Club of Switzerland and general manager of the Klausen race memorials as well as various other motorsport events.

Bernhard Brägger became known as an author with his books such as Kompressoren am Berg , Mythos Klausen and The History of the Monte-Carlo Rally . The latter also appeared online as annual episodes (from 1911) to 1990 as part of the series 100 Years of Rally Monte Carlo at a Glance on the classic car platform Zwischengas .

In addition to the Klausen race , Bernhard Brägger has also revived the Jungfrau-Stafette , a poly-sporty competition from the 1930s, which was held again in 2007 thanks to Bernhard Brägger under the patronage of Adolf Ogi , former Federal Councilor and UN Special Representative for Sport.
