Bernhard Dommes

Bernhard Dommes (born December 12, 1832 in Walkenried , † February 16, 1916 in Mortschin ) was a German farmer and politician .

Life

Born the son of a forester , Dommes studied agriculture in Jena after high school and after working as a farmer , where he became a member of the Teutonia Jena fraternity in 1855 . In 1865 he became administrator in Werna and in 1865 landowner on Rybsenitz near Kulm in West Prussia . In 1867 he acquired the Mortschin manor in the Thorn district . From 1899 to 1903 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Warienwerder 5 (Thorn, Kulm, Biesen) . He belonged to the Free People's Party , then to the Progressive People's Party and was chairman of the Liberal Society in Thorn.
