Bernhard Hartenstein
Bernhard August Hartenstein (born November 26, 1840 - † February 10, 1889 ) was a German administrative lawyer.
Life
Hartenstein came from Waldheim . He studied law at the University of Leipzig . In 1861 he was reciprocated in the Corps Misnia Leipzig (III) . He entered the Prussian administrative service and served in the west of the Empire . From 1876 to 1882 he was district director of the Saarburg district in German-Lorraine , from 1882 to 1884 of the Erstein district and from 1885 to 1892 Imperial District and Police Director of Mulhouse in the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . Hartenstein was buried in a family grave in Kötzschenbroda, Saxony , probably in the New Cemetery that was inaugurated in 1874 .
