Bernhard Hippler

Bernhard Hippler (born August 20, 1947 in Hemmerde , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman .

Life

Bernhard Hippler studied philosophy , theology , psychology and history at the Universities of Innsbruck and Munich . On May 11, 1972, he was ordained a priest . After his teaching qualification, he was professor of religion at the Ursuline High School in Innsbruck from 1975.

Bishop Paul Rusch appointed him in 1979 to the university chaplain of the University of Innsbruck . Hippler subsequently rebuilt the Innsbruck university community , which was dissolved in 1973 by the Austrian Bishops' Conference , and rebuilt the Catholic university youth. The model of university pastoral care became known nationwide as the so-called "Innsbruck model". Hippler was a member of the priest council, the pastoral council, representative of Tyrol in the ArGe of the Austrian priest councils as well as a delegate at the Innsbruck diocesan forum. On June 26, 2015, he was officially retired as the university chaplain of the Innsbruck universities.

Hippler is a member and honorary senior of the K.Ö.HV Alpinia Innsbruck in the ÖCV and liaison pastor of the Innsbrucker Cartellverband , the CV.tirol and several student associations.
