List of student associations in Innsbruck

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list contains an enumeration of all known student associations in the student city of Innsbruck . With a population of around 130,000, there are more than 35,000 students at currently seven universities. In addition, in Austria, school associations mostly refer to themselves as student associations. This led to the founding of the comparatively large number of more than 50 corporations, which in turn are networked with one another in various forms. Most of the information on this list comes from the (linked) homepages or Wikipedia articles of the associations and associations concerned.

Special alliances

Innsbruck Seniors' Convention

The first Austrian SC in the KSCV

The Corps Rhaetia , Athesia and Chinesia founded the Seniors' Convention (SC) in Innsbruck in 1862 . Gothia joined the Kösener Seniors Convents Association (KSCV) in 1898 and SC in 1902. Rhaetia emigrated to Augsburg in 2002 , where she joined the Munich Senior Citizens' Convention . The Innsbrucker SC therefore still includes the following connections:

  • Corps Athesia
  • Corps Gothia

Innsbruck weapon ring

The Innsbrucker Waffenring is a working group of all striking connections of the Innsbruck universities. There is a separate fencing comment for the members .

Innsbruck Cartel Association

The Innsbruck Cartell Association (ICV) is an amalgamation of the six associations that are members of the Cartell Association of the Catholic Austrian Student Associations (ÖCV). The following associations belong to the ICV:

  • AV Austria (AIn)
  • KÖHV Leopoldina (Le)
  • AV Raeto-Bavaria (RB)
  • KAV Rheno-Danubia (RD)
  • AV Vindelicia (Vi)
  • KÖHV Alpinia (AlIn)

In total, these associations have more than 2350 members.

One of these associations is chairman for one academic year, the chairman is called the ICV president. As an external sign, he wears the ribbons of the member associations crossed to form his boyfriend's ribbon . In particular, the ICV has a "uniform representation of common interests vis-à-vis the university authorities, as well as the student and academic bodies and associations", "the prevention and regulation of incidents that make it difficult for the connections to work together or damage the reputation of the ÖCV", "the preparation and Implementation of JOINT religious, scientific, sporting and social events "as well as" establishing contact and cooperation with friends and related associations and organizations ". Resolutions are made at the ICV Senior Citizens' Convention, at which one authorized representative per member association has voting rights. The Presidium of the ICV charges with its own standard at joint events and for representation purposes .

This association has a friendly relationship (friendship agreement) with the following connections:

CV .tirol / Altherrenlandesbund Tirol (AHLB Tirol)

The no longer studying members of the corporations of the ÖCV and the CV, who live in an Austrian federal state, are automatically members of the respective old herrenland federation. AHLB Tirol has been publicly known as CV .tirol since 2017 . The CV .tirol elects its board every two years in spring and is based in Innsbruck. The senior Philistines (chairmen of the old men ) of the Tyrolean ÖCV connections as well as the chairmen of the individual circles are represented in the extended board . The CV .tirol currently represents around 850 people.

Innsbruck Three Association Agreement

On February 10, 1963, the Cartell Association of Catholic German Student Associations (CV) and the Cartell Association of Catholic Austrian Student Associations (ÖCV) together with the Swiss Student Association (SchwStV) concluded the Innsbruck Three Association Agreement. The agreement regulates the special close relationship between these three associations.

Tyrolean Middle School Students Association (TMV)

The Tyrolean regional association in the Middle Schools Cartel Association (MKV) is based in Innsbruck. The TMV was founded in 1926 and is therefore a few years older than the MKV. It has 20 student associations ( list of TMV associations ). The association-free schoolgirl association ChÖMMV Veldidena Innsbruck has a friendship agreement with the TMV.
