Bernhard Lackner (born June 19, 1981 ) is an Austrian bass player and songwriter .

life and work

Bernhard Lackner was born in Tyrol . After training at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz , he lived in Nashville / USA for seven years . There he worked with artists such as Mino Cinelu (drums), Adam Holzman (keyboard), Marco Minnemann (drums), Horacio "El Negro" Hernández (drums), Adam Nitti (electric bass), Jeff Coffin (saxophone), Derico Watson (Drums), Chester Thompson (drums), Pete Lockett (drums).

He has also performed at festivals such as Eurobassday (Italy), Outreach Jazz Festival (Austria), Namm Bass Bash (USA), Bassplayer Live (USA), the London Bass Guitar Show (England), Pasadena Bassday (USA), Groznjan Drumcamp (Croatia), Bassday UK (England), European Bassday (Germany), Canadian Rockies Bass Bash (Canada).

Bernhard Lackner has appeared as a visiting professor at Berklee College of Music (Boston), Musicians Institute (Los Angeles), LA Music Academy (Los Angeles) and Basscollective (New York).

His music is located in the area of ​​fusion jazz.

Other projects are the "Bernhard Lackner Trio" with Ralf Gustke and the "Trio Der Liebe" with Felix Lehrmann and Nico Schliemann.
