Bernhard Loos
Bernhard Loos (born July 30, 1955 in Kaufbeuren ) is a German politician ( CSU ). In the 2017 federal elections , he won the direct mandate in the Munich-North constituency .
Life and work
After graduating from high school, Loos completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesman from 1976 to 1980 and worked as a salesperson at Hertie in Munich. In 1981 Loos completed a degree in economics and political science at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , which he successfully completed in 1987 with a diploma. After his studies, Loos was appointed managing director of the Kolping Society for the Diocesan Association of Munich.
He is the old man of the Palladia Scientific Association, which he reactivated in 1983 after a thirteen-year suspension.
Bernhard Loos is Roman Catholic, married and has two adult sons. He did his military service in the Air Force.
Companies
From the Kolping Society he moved to the board of directors of the Sabel private business school foundation , which he held until 1993. Loos' entrepreneurial activity extends to Munich, Leipzig and China. He founded an IT group of companies that he still heads today. In addition, he heads the GBS Technical School for Technology and Business in Leipzig.
politics
Loos joined the CSU Munich in 1982 and was a member of the state board of the Junge Union Bayern from 1985 to 1986 . During the time of his studies he was involved in the university political student association Ring of Christian-Democratic Students in Bavaria . There he acted as deputy group chairman and was elected as state chairman from 1985 to 1986. He was also the CSU local chairman in Munich. Loos is now a member of the CSU district board in Munich and deputy chairman of its district association (Munich North-West) as well as in the Neuhausen-Nymphenburg local association belonging to this. In addition, as managing director, he leads the operational activities for the Mittelstands-Union München.
For the 2013 federal election he was elected to 59th place on the state list by the CSU delegates' assembly, the space was not enough for a move into the Bundestag .
On November 9, 2016, Loos was nominated by his party's federal constituency delegate assembly as a direct candidate for the Munich-North constituency for the 2017 federal election. In doing so, he asserted himself against the President of the Association of Expellees Bernd Fabritius , Member of the Bundestag , and succeeds Johannes Singhammer .
Political positions
Along with his professional career and activity, Loos is committed to promoting education and small and medium-sized companies .
As the spokesman and chairman of the Munich Pro 3. Startbahn eV citizens' initiative, Loos made a name for himself as a proponent of major infrastructure projects. He justified his engagement with the fact that "the arguments of the runway opponents had been publicly present for far too long" and otherwise "one day Munich could no longer keep up with the massive economic growth in the world". The initiative he led was supported by numerous celebrities, including its Prime Minister Seehofer .
He is also committed to the Pro Landshuter Allee Tunnel citizens' initiative.
Volunteering
Loos is a member of the Bavarian State Board of Culture for South Tyrol and of the Federal Association of Medium-Sized Enterprises . He is also a member of the Leipzig and Munich Chambers of Commerce and Industry .
