Bernhard Reutersberg

Bernhard Reutersberg (born February 23, 1954 in Düsseldorf ) is a German business manager and representative of the energy industry .

Origin, education and personal information

Reutersberg grew up in Düsseldorf. After high school and military service, he trained as a banker at Deutsche Bank AG in Düsseldorf from 1975 to 1977 . From 1977 to 1981 Reutersberg studied business administration at the University of Münster with a degree in business administration . He completed his training at the Institute for Transport Science in Münster in 1985 with a doctorate as a Dr. rer. pole. on the subject of "Logistics as a marketing instrument for steel dealers".

Bernhard Reutersberg is married, has three children and lives in Düsseldorf.

Career

Reutersberg began his professional career at Henkel KGaA in 1984. As a "Marketing Assistant" and from 1986 as "International Product Manager" in Düsseldorf, from 1988 as "Marketing and Sales Manager" in Vienna and from 1991 to 1992 as "Head of Product Management" again in the corporate headquarters in Düsseldorf. This apprenticeship in the Konrad Henkel group was supplemented from 1990 to 1991 by working as marketing director for an automotive supplier in one of the toughest sales markets in the world at the Loctite Corporation , Automotive and Consumer Group, in Cleveland , USA , since 1997 a Henkel -Daughter.

Vaillant

In 1992 Reutersberg switched to the family company “Joh. Vaillant GmbH ”in Remscheid as Head of the Strategic Marketing department, in 1994 he advanced to Head of Foreign Business Unit, Domestic Business Unit Manager in 1997 and Deputy Managing Director in 1998 of the heating technology manufacturer's family.

E.ON

In November 1999 Reutersberg went into the energy industry. First he was managing director of Bayernwerk Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH, which renamed E.ON Vertrieb GmbH in July 2000 (later E.ON Sales & Trading GmbH) and which he headed as chairman of the management board until June 2002. In March 2001, Reuters Berg was appointed to the Board of E.ON Energie in Munich and then in October 2006 the Management Board of E.ON Ruhrgas AG in Essen , a 100 percent subsidiary of E.ON . Since March 1, 2008, he has been CEO of Germany's largest gas supply group . From August 2010 to June 30, 2016, he was a member of the Board of Management of E.ON AG (since November 15, 2012: E.ON SE ) and was responsible for the management of the national companies and distribution and sales. Last year he was Chief Markets Officer.
