Bernhard Scharf

Bernhard Scharf (born May 20, 1936 in Ludwigshafen / Rhein ) is a German chemist and FDP politician.

Bernhard Scharf studied chemistry in Heidelberg , Munich and Montpellier . After completing his doctorate in Heidelberg, he worked as a research assistant at Washington State University in Pullmann for a year . In 1969 he joined BASF , where he worked in the research and development of thermoplastic molding compounds . In 1983 he called the local association of the FDP in his hometown Schriesheim back to life and was its chairman until 1989. From 1986 to 1992 he was chairman of the Rhein-Neckar district association of the FDP.

He was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg for the Weinheim constituency from 1988 to 1996.

From 1989 to 1999 he was a city councilor in Schriesheim and a district councilor in the Rhein-Neckar district . In addition to membership in a large number of clubs, Bernhard Scharf is particularly involved with the Rotarians (district governor).

In 1996 he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .
