Bernhard Spellerberg

Bernhard Spellerberg (* 17th May 1931 in Siddessen , Höxter ; † 23. July 2013 ) was a German politician of the CDU .

education and profession

Bernhard Spellerberg went through elementary and middle school. He attended vocational school and did a craft apprenticeship. He worked as a proofreader and editor. He completed evening school and correspondence school and then worked as a sworn assistant to an auditor. In 1963 he became a clerk in an auditing and tax consulting company.

politics

Spellerberg became a member of the Junge Union in 1951 and a member of the CDU in 1963. In 1968 he became a member of the district board of the CDU Mönchengladbach (until 1975 Rheydt) and a member of the executive board. In 1970 he became chairman of the CDU district association Odenkirchen . In 1978 he became treasurer of the CDU Mönchengladbach. From 1969 to 1975 he was a member of the council of the city of Rheydt, from 1975 a member of the council of the city of Mönchengladbach and head of the city district of Odenkirchen. From 1980 he was a member of the lignite committee of the district president of Cologne .

From July 26, 1970 to May 29, 1985, Spellerberg was a directly elected member of the 7th , 8th and 9th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 032 Rheydt and in the 9th electoral term for the constituency 054 Mönchengladbach I.
