Bernhard Graf von der Schulenburg (born May 11, 1852 in Berlin , † March 27, 1936 in Grünthal near Biesenthal ) was a German cavalry officer, farmer and politician.

Life

Bernhard von der Schulenburg, who comes from a well-known Brandenburg-Prussian aristocratic family , studied 4 semesters of law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Berlin after attending the Knight Academy in Liegnitz . As a transport politician, he was a member of the administrative council of the Deutsche Reichspost and the Reichseisenbahnrat. He was chairman of the transport committee of the German Agricultural Council and deputy chairman of the committee of those interested in transport at the permanent tariff commission of the German railway administrations.

During the First World War, Bernhard von der Schulenburg was a member of the War Food Office, the War Grain Office, the Reich Meat Office, the Reich Fat Office and chairman of the feed distribution office.

A tombstone for Schulenburg is located on the hill of the Breydin castle ruins near Trampe.
