Bertram Wieczorek

Bertram Wieczorek (born January 16, 1951 in Berlin ) is a German doctor and former politician ( CDU ).

From March to October 1990 he was Parliamentary State Secretary to the Minister for Disarmament and Defense of the GDR and from 1991 to 1994 Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1969, Wieczorek first did his military service with the NVA and then completed a medical degree from 1972 , which he finished in 1978 as a medical graduate. After completing his specialist training , he worked in various medical practices and in 1987 became the medical director of the district rehabilitation center in Auerbach .

From 1994 to 1999 he was chairman of the board of the Berliner Wasserbetriebe . From 2003 to 2017 Wieczorek worked as a resident doctor in Rodewisch .

Bertram Wieczorek is married and has two children.

Political party

In 1973 Wieczorek became a member of the GDR block party CDU , from which he resigned in September 1989 to help found the “ New Forum ” in Auerbach. In January 1990 he rejoined the CDU and in 2007 left the party.

From March to October 1990 Wieczorek was one of the first freely elected People's Chamber of the GDR and here was deputy chairman of the CDU / DA - faction .
