Bertram von Ahlefeldt

Bertram Graf von Ahlefeldt (* 1508 ; † April 16, 1571 ) was the lord of the noble estate Lehmkuhlen .

Life

He was the son of the bailiff of Eutin and noble landlord Claus von Ahlefeldt († 1547) and his wife Dorothea nee. von Pogwisch , daughter of Bertram von Pogwisch, gentleman on Dobersdorf . His wife was Dorothea geb. von Rantzau (* in Itzehoe), daughter of Povl von Rantzau (1481–1521), whom he married in 1541 in Itzehoe. From this marriage there were seven children, including the Holstein Council, Marshal and bearer of the Elephant Order Benedikt von Ahlefeldt . Von Ahlefeldt was bailiff of Sønderborg from 1539 to 1550 , later bailiff of Nordborg and governor of the duchies. In 1559 von Ahlefeldt became a member of the council of war and confidante of King Frederick II of Denmark and Norway, whom he saved in the last feud in 1559 . From 1560 until his death he was bailiff of Flensburg .
