Alytus vocational training center
The Alytus Vocational Training Center (lit. Alytaus profesinio rengimo centras , Alytaus PRC ) is a regional vocational school with branches for vocational and general education ( grammar school department) in the Lithuanian city of Alytus . In Balbieriškis ( Prienai district ) there is Mykolas Krupavičius Agriculture and Business Department. 1700 students (2014) are currently attending the school. In 2008 700 students were accepted. There are 303 employees (June 2013), including 144 educators (2008).
The current vocational training center was founded on March 30, 2004 by the Ministry of Education of Lithuania . Before that there were three individual vocational schools in Alytus ( Alytaus pramonės ir prekybos mokykla , Alytaus siuvėjų mokykla and Alytaus statybininkų mokykla ). June 2005 the center of mechatronics was built.
From 1967 to 1970 Alvydas Baležentis (* 1949), Lithuanian politician, member of the Seimas , Vice-Rector of Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija , professor of Mykolo Romerio universitetas worked here .
