The Berufsgenossenschaftliche Klinikum Hamburg ("Boberg") is an accident hospital in the eastern Hamburg district of Lohbrügge . The BG Klinikum Hamburg (BGKH) is one of nine occupational accident clinics ( BG clinics ) under the umbrella of the clinic association of the statutory accident insurance. The BGKH is financed solely by the employers' liability insurance association, which is responsible for the statutory accident insurance. Public funds are not granted. Nevertheless, the BG Klinikum Hamburg is not only open to patients of the employer's liability insurance association, but also to privately or legally insured persons at any time.
The umbrella organization of the employers' liability insurance association is the German Statutory Accident Insurance (DGUV).
history
The accident hospitals of the employers' liability insurance association are specially set up for the care of fresh and old trauma and multiple injuries . The Hamburg house was built in 1959 with 240 beds and was extensively modernized from 2006 to 2008. The workforce includes 1869 employees with 192 doctors. It also functions as the teaching hospital of the Schleswig-Holstein University Medical Center, Lübeck campus .

The management is in the hands of Sylvia Langer and Hubert Erhard. The medical director is Christian Jürgens , who also holds a chair in Lübeck.
