Best Player is an American television film that was produced on behalf of Nickelodeon . Directed by Damon Santostefano , the screenplay was written by Richard Amberg. Filming began on October 24, 2009 in Vancouver , and the film went into production on November 18, 2009. The film premiered on the Nickelodeon All Access Cruise with Jennette McCurdy on March 4, 2011. On March 12, 2011, the film celebrated its TV premiere at the American Nickelodeon. The premiere saw 5.3 million viewers. The German-language free TV first broadcast was on May 14, 2011 at Nickelodeon Switzerland . In Germany, the film was shown on November 19, 2011 on Nickelodeon Germany .

Although the two couldn't be more different, Chris and Quincy are on a collision course together. Chris is an unpopular high school student. Quincy is 30 years old and still lives in the basement with his parents. When Quincy's parents tell him that they are selling their house and leaving their son in the lurch, he starts a big gaming contest and looks for opponents who can beat him - he gets to know "Prodigy", a fellow player. From then on, weird and confusing things start to happen in the two of you.
