Bethenny Frankel (2010)

Bethenny Frankel (born November 3, 1970 in New York City ) is a television personality, author and entrepreneur. She founded Skinnygirl Cocktails, a beverage company. Frankel has also written four self-help books and moderated the Bethenny talk show . She has appeared on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart , The Real Housewives of New York City , Shark Tank , Bethenny and Fredrik, and starred in the reality series Bethenny Ever After .

childhood

Frankel is the only child of Robert J. Frankel, a horse trainer, and Bernadette Birk, an interior designer. Her father was Jewish and her mother was a Roman Catholic with Welsh roots who converted to Judaism after the marriage. Her father left her mother when Bethenny was four. Her mother married John Parisella, another horse trainer, when Frankel was five. She remembers a difficult childhood. One reason for this is that her father did not support the family, was always drunk, and often argued with her stepfather.

Bethenny graduated from Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1988 after moving and attending various schools. She went to the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City and New York University .

Career

Frankel worked as a production assistant on the set of Saved by the Bell .

In 2005 she was one of two finalists in the reality series The Apprentice: Martha Stewart . In 2008, Bethenny was selected for The Real Housewives of New York City series . In June 2010, she starred on the Bravo reality show Bethenny Getting Married? which showed her engagement and wedding to Jason Hoppy, and the birth of her daughter. At the time of its premiere, the show was the highest rated in Bravo's television history. In September 2010, Frankel announced that she would not continue with the fourth season of the series The Real Housewives of New York City for personal reasons . On October 20, 2014, it was confirmed that she is coming back for season seven as one of the leading actresses on the series.

Skinny girl

In March 2009, Frankel published her book Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting . The SkinnyGirl Dish: Easy Recipes for Your Naturally Thin Life was released the following December. She created the Body by Bethenny workout DVD in spring 2010 and an audio book called The Skinnygirl Rules, which summarizes her previous books. In 2011, Bethenny published A Place of Yes: 10 Rules for Getting Everything You Want Out of Life. In December 2012 she published the novel Skinnydipping .

Frankel founded the Skinnygirl Cocktail Company in April 2011 and later sold it to Fortune Brands' Beam Global, now part of Suntory , for an estimated $ 100 million.

In May 2017, Bethenny celebrated the launch of Skinnygirl Market Fresh Deli for the American Midwest, which is a range of pre-packaged meats with no preservatives. The American Heart Association confirmed that it was low in sodium and low in fat. Skinnygirl Market Fresh Deli also supports Frankel's B-Strong: Find Your Yes, a program that provides care, funding and financial support for women in crisis situations.

Bethenny

In 2011 the idea came up that Frankel should be the presenter of a talk show, which was taken up again in 2012. The Bethenny Show premiered on September 9, 2013 and was canceled on February 14, 2014. Reps continued to air through the end of the television year.

Others

A National Disaster Relief Foundation called Delivering Good partnered with Frankel's B Strong program to provide gift cards, credit cards, and essential supplies to people affected by the 2017 hurricanes. Bethenny and her team also helped natural disaster survivors in Puerto Rico, Houston, and Mexico City.

In September 2009, she posed naked for a PETA billboard.

Private life

In 1996 Frankel married Peter Sussman, who is a senior executive in the entertainment industry. She divorced him in 1997. With her second husband Jason Hoppy, whom she married in March 2010, she fathered a daughter, Bryn, who was born the following May. They separated in December 2012, and Bethenny filed for divorce in January 2013. Custody was agreed in June 2014. However, the division of the property is still being negotiated. The divorce was finalized in July 2016, just under four years after the separation. Frankel sued for full custody of her daughter Bryn in December 2017.

For a short time, Bethenny dated director Trevor Engelson. According to Frankel, it later developed into a business relationship.

Frankel's friend Dennis Shields was found dead in Trump Tower on August 10, 2018.
