Betina Riegelhuth (born June 17, 1987 in Ski , Norway ) is a Norwegian handball player .

Career

Betina Riegelhuth began playing handball in her home town of Ski, where her sister Linn-Kristin Riegelhuth Koren also initially played. She then worked for Njård for three years. In 2006, the back player signed a contract with Bækkelagets SK . With the BSK, the right-hander won the Norwegian junior championship in the same year and received game shares in the Eliteserien, the highest Norwegian league.

In 2008 Riegelhuth moved to league rivals Storhamar Håndball . In the 2009/10 season she scored 112 goals for Storhamar, making them 7th place in the top scorer list of the Eliteserien. In the same season she stood with Storhamar in the quarter-finals of the European Cup Winners' Cup , where it was the last stop against eventual winners ŽRK Budućnost Podgorica . In the 2015/16 season Riegelhuth was under contract with the Danish first division team Esbjerg , with whom she won the Danish championship. She then returned to Storhamar Håndball.

Riegelhuth played seven games for the Norwegian B national team. On July 31, 2010, she made her debut in the senior team. With the senior national team, she won the European Championship in 2014 . In the main round match against Denmark she was the most successful goalscorer of her team with seven goals. A year later she won the world championship .

With the Norwegian national beach handball team, Riegelhuth won the beach handball world championship in 2010. In 2010 she took part in the European Police Championship in handball. With the Norwegian selection, Riegelhuth won the European runner-up and was appointed to the All-Star team.
