Betlinshausen is a district of Illertissen in the Swabian district of Neu-Ulm ( Bavaria ).

The church village is located on the eastern slope of the Illertal , about 2 km north of Illertissen. To the east is the old town, to the west, some of which are somewhat separated, are the settlement areas. The Schwärzlegraben and the Krautgartengraben arise in or near the village and connect to the Mauchegraben to the north.

Betlinshausen was already a popular place of pilgrimage in the late Middle Ages . The church of St. John Baptist with its domed turret dates back to the baroque period .

The formerly independent municipality in the dissolved district of Illertissen was incorporated into the city of Illertissen on July 1, 1971 as part of the municipal reform.

The formerly purely agricultural structure experienced strong growth from the second half of the 20th century through settlement areas.

Approx. The A 7 motorway passes 200 m from the eastern edge of the town . It can be reached via the Illertissen driveway (AS 124) to the south . State road St 2031 runs parallel to this in the west . In the southwest, the district road NU 9 from Illertissen to Tiefenbach touches the place.
