Bettina Herlitzius

Bettina Herlitzius (born July 8, 1960 in Bad Salzuflen ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1979, Herlitzius completed a degree in architecture at RWTH Aachen , which she completed in 1987 with a degree in architecture. She then worked as a freelance architect until she began her legal clerkship in 1993 at the State Building Authority at the Ministry for Building and Housing of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . After the second state examination in 1995, she took over the management of the office for traffic control, housing, building and road construction in the Aachen district administration , and is now head of the office for inclusion and social planning in the Aachen city region .

Bettina Herlitzius has a son and lives in a civil partnership .

Herlitzius joined the party Die Grünen in 1983, which it left in 1985. She has been a member of the Greens again since 1998 and was spokeswoman for the board of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the Aachen-Land district from 2001 to 2005. Herlitzius belongs since 1999 the council of the District of Aachen , the Regional Assembly of the Rhineland Regional Council and the Regional Council of Cologne on.

On September 3, 2007, she moved up on the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia for the resigned MP Reinhard Loske in the German Bundestag . On September 27, 2009, she was able to return to the Bundestag as a member of the Bundestag, to which she was a member until September 2013.
