Bettina Müller (politician)

Bettina Müller (born June 7, 1959 in Alzenau - Wasserlos ) is a German lawyer , politician and member of the German Bundestag ( SPD ) since 2013 .

Life

Bettina Müller grew up in Blankenbach , attended the Otto Hahn School in Hanau and passed the Abitur examination there in 1978 . She then studied German language and literature and philosophy for a few semesters at the Goethe University in Frankfurt / Main , but then trained as a nurse from 1980 to 1983 and worked in the profession for two years. After that they took in 1985 at the University of Frankfurt, a law degree to which they with the second 1995 state exam ended. Since then she has been working as a lawyer.

Bettina Müller was a member of the Greens party from 1979 to 1981, which she helped found. She joined the SPD in 1997. For her party, she was an alderman from 2001 to 2006 and then parliamentary group leader in Flörsbachtal until 2008 . Since 2006 she has been a member of the district council in the Main-Kinzig district . She is a member of the sub-district executive committee of the SPD Main-Kinzig. She has been a member of the German Bundestag since the 2013 federal election. Since 2013 she has been a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Hessen.

Müller is married and has two children. She lives in Flörsbachtal (Hessen).

In the 19th legislative period of the German Bundestag, she is a full member of the Committee on Health , a deputy member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection and spokeswoman for the local working group.
