Bettina Meyer studied painting with Reinhard Voigt and HP Zimmer in Braunschweig from 1989 to 1991 . This was followed by studying sculpture with Klaus Rinke at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . After graduating in 1995, she was a master class student with Rinke until 1997 and received the academy letter from the Düsseldorf Art Academy.

In 1998 she received a scholarship from the artist village of Schöppingen . An annual scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supported her stay in Saint Petersburg in 2000, during which Meyer completed her Master of Media with Timur Novikov .

In 2014 Meyer won the sculpture competition 'Schöne aussichten' of the cultural office No. 5, whereupon the work on the Drachenfels near Königswinter was realized.

In 2016 she was awarded a contract by the city of Brühl to use a sculpture to stage the 'Südkreisel' roundabout as the central location and thus design a new entrance gate to the city center. The 2.60 meter high work combines abstract and figurative elements and was inaugurated on December 6th by Vice Mayor Poschmann.
