Bettina Zopf

Bettina Zopf (born July 19, 1974 in Gmunden ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). She has been a member of the National Council since October 23, 2019 .

Life

Bettina Zopf attended the Altmünster Polytechnic after primary school in Reindlmühl and secondary school in Neukirchen . She then completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk , and in 1998/99 she also trained as a skilled agricultural and forestry worker. She has been a contract employee at the market town of Altmünster since 1992, where she was also a staff representative from 2006 to 2017. She has been a sideline farmer since 2005.

Zopf has been a union member since 2006, first as Younion chairwoman of the Altmünster market town and member of the Upper Austrian Younion regional board, from 2008 as a member of the regional and federal board of the Christian trade unionists group (FCG) and from 2010 as a member of the Younion regional presidium and federal board . In Altmünster she became a parish party leader in 2016, and has been a member of the parish council since 2017. In the Gmunden district , she has been a member of the district board of the farmers 'union and district chairwoman of the workers' union since 2017 . Since 2018 she has been a member of the federal board of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions (ÖGB). In 2019 she succeeded Alfred Luger as regional chairwoman of FCG-Younion Oberösterreich, after taking over the chairmanship in 2018.

In the 2019 National Council election, she ran for the ÖVP behind top candidate Johann Singer as second in the list in the Traunviertel regional constituency . On October 23, 2019 she was at the beginning of the XXVII. Legislative period as a member of the Austrian National Council . In January 2020 she was elected district farmer of the farmers' union in the Gmunden district.
