Beusingsen is a district of Bad Sassendorf in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

The Haufendorf is located in the extreme south of the Bad Sassendorf community, about 5 km southeast of the center of the district town of Soest . The single settlement Sieplinghof belongs to Beusingsen.

Several streets in the village are lined with stone walls that characterize the townscape. The top of the wall is usually covered with a hedge of hawthorn , elderberry , privet or arborvitae . The Kirchplatz or Lindenplatz represents a design center of Beusingsen. At the Sieplingshof in the south of the village there are larger stands of trees. Hedges and orchards are the habitat of the fauna there .

history

Before the municipal reorganization , the place belonged to the Lohne office .

Since the development of the old town center, its basic structure and expansion have changed only insignificantly. A few new residential buildings were built on the courtyards, but none were implemented.

On July 1, 1969, Beusingsen was incorporated into Bad Sassendorf.

coat of arms

Blazon : "Two outward-curved, leafy green hawthorn branches with red fruits growing out of three rows of bricked green shield base growing in silver."

On the initiative of the Committee for School, Culture and Sport of the municipality of Bad Sassendorf , a local coat of arms was donated for Beusingsen in consultation with the population, which was notarized by the HEROLD and included in the German local coat of arms on March 15, 2013 under registration number 18NW . This coat of arms is used by the mayor, clubs, associations, etc. after a right of disposal has been granted by the founder. a. m. as a symbol of local identity outside of official acts. The coat of arms was designed by the municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch , who carried it out for certification.

Economy and Infrastructure

Today Beusingsen is a partly agricultural community. The economic structure has hardly changed in recent years. While there were 20 farms in the early 1960s, most were abandoned towards the end of the decade.

About a kilometer north of Beusingsen is a junction of the federal highway 44 .
