Moving Singspiel
The Moving Singspiel is a musical-rhythmic children's game that combines gestures and spoken word. In contrast to the circle games and group dances such as the round dance , moving Singspiele are more comparable to individual dance , since the choreography of the moving Singspiel is geared towards a single person. For this reason, moving Singspiele are occasionally used in the context of pawns games .
Mostly, however, singing games are organized in larger groups, with musical aspects ( synchronization ) and social aspects ( community feeling ) playing an important role from a game-pedagogical point of view .
In contrast to dance, singing games are performed while standing or sitting, so that they can also be played on the go or at the table to fill up breaks. Moving singing games are part of modern folklore and children's folklore and, like folk songs , children's songs and fairy tales, are usually only passed on orally . They are often used in the context of organized youth work , for example with scouts or Christian youth groups .

Moving singing games in pop culture

In the meantime, moving Singspiele are enjoying increasing popularity among young people and adults due to their simple melodies and harmonies and the easy-to-learn choreography, for example as the Mallorca hit The Red Horse or the YouTube phenomenon Kleiner Hai .
