geography
Bezdan is six kilometers from the Croatian and ten from the Hungarian border and 18 km from Sombor. It is located on the left bank of the Danube, in the lowlands, at an altitude of 90 m. The place is often referred to as a "water settlement" because it is surrounded by many watercourses, especially the Great Batschka Canal and its side canals.
The wooded areas (more than 10%), which are not characteristic of the settlements in Vojvodina, are particularly striking.
