Biberkor is a hamlet in the municipality of Berg in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg . As part of Höhenrain, the hamlet was incorporated into the municipality of Berg on January 1, 1975.

history

Biberkor was owned by the noble free von Biberkor and became a Hofmark , which belonged to different owners over the centuries.

Gut Biberkor is located on a hill between the mountain villages of Aufkirchen and Höhenrain . In 1080 it appeared for the first time under the name Piberchar in the document collection of the Ebersberg monastery . In addition to the Counts of Hörwarth and Rambaldi, the later owners also included the Tegernsee , Scheyern and Andechs monasteries . Since 1880 was the producer Christoph Boehringer, the Good Biberkor owned since 1961 by Father Rupert Mayer , co-founded religious Sisters of the Holy Family. For four years the sisters ran agriculture and animal breeding, a retirement and rest home and a retreat house there . In 1995, the building contractor Werner von Kahlden-Gmell bought the property and enabled the Biberkor Montessori School to be built there , which began operations in 2001.
