Bicălatu ( Hungarian Magyarbikal , German  hump ) is a small village in Transylvania in Romania . It belongs to the city of Huedin and is located in the Apuseni Mountains (part of the Romanian Western Carpathians ). The village is located in a valley northeast of Huedin. The road to neighboring Stăraș is no longer passable for vehicles.

Bicălatu / Magyarbikal is inhabited by members of the Hungarian minority and in 2002 had about 400 inhabitants. Due to emigration, especially of the younger generation, the population has decreased significantly in recent years.
