Biebermühle is a hamlet in the district of Südwestpfalz ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), which mainly belongs to the local community Donsieders ( Verbandsgemeinde Rodalben ). Parts to the west of the settlement are in the area of the local community Thaleischweiler-Fröschen .

The hamlet is 264 m above sea level. NHN on the edge of the Palatinate Forest 6 km north of the city of Pirmasens on the federal highway 270 leading from there to Kaiserslautern . The Rodalb flows through the village from southeast to northwest , and flows into the Schwarzbach from the left to the north of the residential area .

Biebermühle consists of about ten residential buildings. There is also a train station, a tar factory, a restaurant, a brothel, a car dealership, a truck workshop, a transformer station, an outdoor swimming pool and a construction company in the former power station. The train station, the swimming pool and parts of the commercial operations belong to Thaleischweiler-Fröschen, the rest of the hamlet to Donsieders.

In 1925, the district of Biebermühle belonging to Donsieders had 47 residents and seven residential buildings, the district belonging to Fröschen had 95 residents and nine residential buildings.

From 1941/42 there was a transit camp (Dulag) Pirmasens-Nord or Biebermühle camp on the Biebermühle (on the district of the Donsieders municipality) for so-called foreign workers . In the immediate vicinity was a second large foreign labor camp, which was operated by the Reichsbahn , Pirmasens-Nord railway master's office.

The Biebermühlbahn (Pirmasens – Kaiserslautern) and the Landau – Rohrbach line cross at the Pirmasens Nord station near Biebermühle . Because of the steep rise of the extension of the Biebermühl Railway terminus Pirmasens was once the Pfalzbahn even its own locomotive 94.0 purchased. Because the winding railway lines do not allow high speeds, the Pirmasens Nord railway station lost much of its former importance in the second half of the 20th century.

Attractions

Above Biebermühle and north of the Schwarzbach - on the district of Thaleischweiler-Fröschen - are the ruins of the stone castle . The hilltop castle was built around the year 1100.
