The Bief (also called Ruisseau du Bief ) is a river in France that runs in the Charente department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises on the municipal boundary of Empuré and Villefagnan , drains in an S-curve over southeast to southwest and after around 23 kilometers flows into the Charente as a right tributary in the municipality of Luxé .
