The Bifuß is a reed island in the Ischler loop (named after the place Ischl ) of the Upper Alz in the district Truchtlaching the community Seebruck at river kilometer 58 and from 4.65 kilometers downstream from the Chiemsee runoff in Seebruck , and is located in the conservation area " Upper Alztal "(LSG-00431.01).

About 30 to 300 meters downstream of the island there are two smaller, nameless reed islands, a smaller middle one with 973 m² and a larger eastern (downstream) with 3443 m². The group name for all three islands is Bifuss Islands .

Entry ban / no entry

The island is under nature protection , there is a year-round ban on entry. The left arm of the river (west) may not be used all year round. The right arm of the river (east) is subject to the temporary ban on entering the Upper Alz from 01.01.-30.06.

The Bifuß comprises four parcels of the Truchtlaching district: 1190 (south), 1191 (north-west), 1192 (north) and 1193 (north-east). The two smaller Bifuss Islands together form the parcel 1659 of the Seeon district. The foregoing and other parcels are in the regulation of the district of Traunstein and the district office Traunstein on the conservation area "Upper Alztal" From 9 March 1989 mentioned under wet meadows and sedges - and bins rich wet and wet meadows .
