Big 12 Men's Tennis Championships

The Big 12 Tennis Championships are an annual team competition in the field of US college tennis . Universities that belong to the Big 12 Conference take part in it .

The first edition took place in 1997, three years after the league was founded. Since then, the championships have been held every year after the end of the regular season towards the end of April. They represent a kind of cup competition which, in contrast to the regular season, is played within a few days and in the knockout system .

The record holder of the title is Baylor University , which won the competition a total of eight times.

The tournament will be played in a knockout system . The pairings will be drawn immediately after the end of the regular season. The seeding list results from its final table; in the event of a tie, the direct comparison is decisive. One or more teams received in the first round, depending on the number of participants bye . This is granted to the strongest team on the seeding list (or the strongest teams).
